Position Title: Substitute Teacher

Location: Reynoldsburg City Schools / Reynoldsburg, OH
Employment Type: As Needed / Part-Time / On-Call

Pay Rate: $150/Day

About the Role

Dedicated School Staffing is looking for adaptable, dependable, and motivated Substitute Teachers to step in when regular classroom teachers are unavailable. This position helps maintain instructional continuity by implementing provided lesson plans, fostering a respectful classroom environment, and supporting both academic progress and student well-being.

Key Responsibilities
Implement lesson plans and classroom materials prepared by the regular teacher
Maintain appropriate classroom management and ensure a safe learning environment
Deliver instruction clearly and support student understanding throughout the day
Adjust teaching approach based on grade level and subject area needs
Record attendance and complete required school documentation
Communicate professionally with school staff and administration
Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other assigned times
Required Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of two (2) years of college coursework completed
Valid substitute teaching license or appropriate teaching license per Ohio requirements
Clean criminal background check
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow lesson plans and manage varied classroom environments
Professionalism, patience, and a student-focused approach
Compliance with the Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in education, tutoring, or childcare
Familiarity with classroom management strategies
Experience working with diverse student populations
