Regional Trainer

Responsible for technical training on farms within sow production, primarily focused on best practices for farrowing and breeding. Deliver technical training on farms within live operations. Work in conjunction with the Farm Manager and Service Manager to evaluate the training needs of individuals and teams. Engage with business unit managers and other operational leaders to develop system action plans consistent with achieving business plan targets. Identify strengths and gaps within the current training programs. Collaborate with peers and service managers on problem solving any training gaps or needs. Develop training materials and prepare presentations to address training needs, including training designed to meet certification processes. Assist with onboarding of new talent. Ensure safe work practices while training. Confirm training alignment with Standard Operating Procedures. Develop and maintain regional training schedule. Connect individual roles and responsibilities to achieve successful outcomes. Assist in troubleshooting operational and non-operational opportunistic areas to improve outcomes in productivity, cost management and employee relations. Ensure all solution communications are initiated and timely. Assist in the certification process for Apprentices and Specialists. Participate in industry events and learning opportunities to improve operational knowledge and business acumen. The person in this position may work from any farm location in Minnesota. Travel required up to 95% of the time to farms within the state of Minnesota (75%) and to farm locations in Illinois, Iowa, South Dakota, and Nebraska (20%). Salary: $95,784.00. Requires: Bachelors degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, or closely-related degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
