Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Energize your career by supporting students as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) in a dynamic educational environment for the school year. This impactful contract position offers a full-time, onsite opportunity serving students near Lancaster, OH, with an August start and a May completion. You'll play a key role across multiple campuses, working closely with a small caseload-primarily elementary-aged youth-with the potential to support a middle or high school student as new needs arise.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification is required
  • Previous experience servicing students with visual impairments in school settings is preferred
  • Strong understanding of developing and executing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with staff, administration, and families
  • Flexibility to work across multiple educational sites as student needs evolve

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative services, tailored to each student's IEP goals
  • Consistently attend and contribute to student support and planning meetings
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of service delivery, progress data, and IEP-related communication
  • Provide both direct interaction and indirect (non-contact) services, ensuring compliance and quality education
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for instructional adaptation and accessibility
