UPMC Family Hospice is hiring a casual RN to cover the Blair county area. This position is flexible and based on your availability!
The Professional Staff Nurse is responsible for the delivery of skilled nursing services to patients in their homes according to the physician's plan of care, agency policies and procedures, fiscal intermediaries, regulatory agencies, and bodies, and within recognized standards of nursing practice. Must possess the ability to assess and interpret patient data needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to the population served. Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians, other health care providers, patients, and their families, to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care. Assignments will be determined by the Clinical Manager of the branch based on several different factors, which include, but are not limited to, coverage for Leave of Absences, increase in patient volume in a specific team, and vacancies.
Mileage is reimbursed at the federal rate
Responsibilities:
Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
