Senior Business Analyst Location: Hybrid - Chattanooga, TN Area Duration: 6-Month Contract (Potential Extension) Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST Travel: Occasional travel to meet with business stakeholders as needed Compensation: Up to $75/hr About the Opportunity Vaco is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support a large-scale billing transformation and system migration initiative. This role will be heavily involved in helping the business transition from a legacy billing platform to a modern billing solution while partnering with stakeholders, project teams, and technology teams throughout the implementation process. Why This Role Is Open A major billing transformation project is underway, and the team needs a dedicated Senior Business Analyst focused on the billing workstream. This person will help drive requirements, document current and future-state processes, identify dependencies, support testing efforts, and ensure stakeholders remain aligned throughout the migration. The project involves moving billing data and processes from a legacy platform to Zuora, requiring extensive collaboration with business users, project leadership, and development teams. This is a highly visible initiative with significant impact across the organization and offers the opportunity to contribute to a complex enterprise transformation from planning through go-live. What You'll Be Doing Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements. Facilitate discussions with stakeholders to understand current-state processes and define future-state solutions. Analyze billing workflows, subscriptions, recurring payments, credits, debits, and invoicing processes. Document requirements, decisions, risks, and dependencies within Jira. Create process flows, business requirements documents, user stories, and functional documentation. Support data migration efforts by helping map legacy billing data to a new platform. Work closely with project managers, business stakeholders, and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle. Assist with testing strategy, test case development, UAT coordination, and defect tracking. Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies and help drive resolution. Support multiple migration waves leading up to production deployment. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience as a Senior Business Analyst or Functional Business Analyst. 5+ years supporting billing systems, payment platforms, or subscription-based business environments. Experience supporting data migration or billing platform implementation projects. Strong requirements gathering and business process analysis experience. Extensive experience using Jira for requirements management, user stories, project tracking, and collaboration. Experience working directly with both business and technical stakeholders. Strong documentation skills with the ability to capture detailed requirements and translate business needs into actionable deliverables. Excellent communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Zuora, Oracle E-Business Suite, Recurly, Orb, or similar billing and revenue management platforms. Subscription billing or recurring revenue experience. Knowledge of billing operations, payment processing, and revenue-related business processes. Experience with test management tools such as Xray. Experience supporting enterprise transformation initiatives. Agile project experience.
