Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a pivotal role supporting students' communication growth in the Rockville, MD and greater Washington, DC area for the upcoming school year. As a contract Speech Language Pathologist focused on school-based services, you'll collaborate with a committed special education team to provide targeted support across up to three campuses. Key Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active Maryland SLP license required (please have images of licenses ready)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred, but Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants considered
  • At least one year of school-based experience preferred (exceptional alternative experience or references welcomed)
  • Completion of a House Bill background check (time-sensitive for credentialing)
  • Flexibility to work on-site 3-5 days per week, covering 35 hours preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy to elementary and/or middle school students with a caseload averaging 40 to 48 students, reaching up to 57 during peak times
  • Collaborate with supervisors and school leaders to determine assignments based on your skillset and location preference
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments, create and implement IEPs, and monitor student progress
  • Serve up to 2-3 schools with weekly schedules that may include 4 days at one site and 1 day at another
  • Participate in prescreen interviews to discuss school assignments and caseload preferences
  • Liaise with internal supervisors to ensure robust support and possible mentorship for CFYs
