About the Position

We are looking for a caring, dependable, patient, and responsible Elder Care Assistant / Senior Support Worker to provide companionship and practical day-to-day assistance to senior clients.

The ideal candidate is someone who genuinely enjoys helping older adults and understands the importance of treating seniors with dignity, patience, kindness, and respect. This position is focused on helping seniors remain comfortable, independent, and supported in their daily lives.

You will assist with everyday activities, errands, light household tasks, companionship, and other reasonable non-medical support based on the senior's needs.

- Key Responsibilities

Provide friendly companionship and social interaction.
Assist seniors with everyday activities and errands.
Help with grocery shopping and purchasing household necessities.
Assist with pharmacy, personal-item, and other local errands when appropriate.
Help organize and put away groceries and household purchases.
Accompany seniors to appointments, shopping, or community activities when needed.
Provide transportation assistance when applicable and legally permitted.
Assist with light housekeeping and maintaining an organized living environment.
Help prepare simple meals or assist with meal-related activities.
Help seniors stay organized with their daily routines.
Check that the senior has necessary household items and supplies.
Provide assistance with walking or mobility-related activities when appropriate and within the caregiver's training and abilities.
Offer conversation, encouragement, and meaningful companionship.
Communicate any concerns regarding the senior's well-being to the appropriate family member or supervisor.
Maintain a respectful, professional, and trustworthy relationship with the senior and their family.
Protect the client's privacy and personal information.
Perform other reasonable senior-support duties as requested.

Previous caregiving, elder-care, home-care, personal-assistant, nursing-assistant, companion-care, or senior-support experience is preferred, but qualified candidates with strong personal-care and support experience may also be considered.

- Qualifications

Previous experience working with seniors is preferred.
Must be reliable and able to maintain the agreed schedule.
Must have good communication skills.
Must be able to work respectfully with senior clients and their families.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred if the position requires transportation or local errands.
Ability to pass any required background or reference checks.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

- Schedule

The position is approximately 25 hours per week with a maximum of 5hours per day.

The schedule can be discussed with the selected candidate based on the needs of the senior and the caregiver's availability.

Typical hours may fall within the daytime period, such as (11:00 AM 4:00PM)

- Compensation

$35-40 per hour

Part-time schedule of approximately 25 hours per week.

Additional details regarding scheduling, responsibilities, and payment arrangements will be discussed during the interview.

- Important Note

This is primarily a non-medical senior support and companionship position. The role does not require the caregiver to perform medical procedures or provide skilled nursing services unless the individual is appropriately licensed, trained, and authorized to do so.
