Senior Real Estate Counsel - In-House Opportunity

Our client, a nationally recognized company with a significant commercial real estate portfolio, is seeking an experienced real estate attorney to join its legal team in a senior counsel capacity.

This role is ideal for an attorney who combines sophisticated transactional real estate experience with strong business judgment and relationship management skills. The position offers meaningful visibility with executive leadership and the opportunity to serve as a trusted advisor on high-impact real estate matters.

Responsibilities Include:

• Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial leases and related agreements
• Advising on eminent domain and property-related issues
• Reviewing surveys, title matters, easements, and declarations
• Supporting strategic real estate initiatives and portfolio management
• Partnering closely with finance, operations, and real estate leadership
• Managing complex matters independently in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:

• Minimum 7 years of commercial real estate legal experience
• Law firm and/or in-house experience welcomed
• Strong lease negotiation and transactional skills required
• Experience handling sophisticated property matters
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Licensed and in good standing in any U.S. state
• Experience supporting retail, restaurant, or other multi-site commercial real estate portfolios is highly valued
