Senior Cloud Engineer ()

Drive configuration management activities across the organization. Provide best practices and ensure our source control and builds are secured and running smoothly. Provide automated and orchestrated management of all cloud platforms and technical solutions. Lead and contribute to AWS, Azure and Oracle Cloud development, maintenance, automation and orchestration for applications, websites, data services, virtual networks, security, monitoring, and service discovery. Contribute in definition and enforcement of patterns, best practices and strategies for source control structure, branching and CI/CD in all cloud environments containing cloud native functions as well as non-containerized workloads with focus on infrastructure related topics. Collaborate to identify and enforce patterns for local developer environments to ensure consistency across all products and into production builds. Collaborate with other Global IT teams to define, promote, and maintain Global IT best practices across the ZOLL organization and product lines. Collaborate with team members to identify areas for improvement and drive solutions. Partner with Architects and product development teams within Agile processes to build rock solid services and further improve where possible. Support management with reports and provide financial governance for any cloud operation. Architect and implement disaster recovery strategies meeting uptime SLAs. Ensure PHI protection and compliance for healthcare systems through secure cloud solutions. Manage cloud budgets and implemented cost optimization measures, including right-sizing resources, monitoring usage, and leveraging reserved instances to reduce overall cloud spend. Position is fixed based in Chelmsford, MA office; however, telecommuting is permitted 100%.

Job Requirements:

Requires a Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or a directly related field plus five (5) years of experience in server administration (Linux or Windows) in Enterprise environments. Experience must include:

Three (3) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

Developing production level applications or automated deployment pipelines using Infrastructure as Code in a public cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or Google);

DevOps practices and platform engineering for commercial applications;

Bash, Powershell, Python and JSON;

Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and Salt;

Splunk, Datadog ELK Stack, Newrelic and Cloudwatch.

Deployment, scaling, load balancing, auto-scaling, and writing custom YAML files for pods, services, and namespaces.

Git, CVS, SVN, bitbucket for source code management, branching strategies, and release versioning.

Will accept a Masters degree plus three (3) years of experience in server administration (Linux or Windows) in Enterprise environments role in lieu of a Bachelors degree plus five (5) years of experience.

40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm, Salary: $178,150.00 /year.
