Principal Specialist SAP Basis

In conjunction with users and IT managers, where applicable, assist in maintaining the corporate ERP application to meet the needs of Charles River globally. Provide timely and effective support for application-related questions. Work with IT Leadership and Colleagues to align teams tasks with business priorities. Implement changes to the system in accordance with defined project timelines and provide input into the timeline definitions. Support the change control process to ensure changes are transitioned smoothly. SAP system troubleshooting and problem solving, as well as day-to-day monitoring and administration of SAP systems. Provide recommendations and guidance for the tuning and optimization of our SAP landscape. Perform or participate in periodic reviews, audits and updates to the hosting standards, process controls and technologies. Research and provide directions for SAP software corrections including SAP OSS notes and SAP support packages. Planning and execution of SAP Disaster Recovery (DR) drills to support business continuity. Work with SAP Solution Manager to support ChaRM and Technical Monitoring. Support and maintain SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA systems to ensure stable and reliable operations. Perform and support SAP system upgrades and migrations as part of hardware refresh initiatives Coach internal teams to be self-sufficient. Provide administrative support and hands-on experience across SAP Cloud applications: - SAP CPI - SAP Integration Suite - SAP Analytics Cloud - SAP Datasphere (Datawarehouse Cloud) Minimum Job Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline, or foreign degree equivalent, plus at least ten (10) years of experience with SAP Basis. The experience (which may be gained concurrently) must also include the following: 5 years of experience in executing SAP failover and failback activities as part of DR drills; 5 years of experience with Hardware upgrade for SAP Applications; 5 years of hands on experience with SAP Solution Manager, supporting ChaRM and Technical Monitoring; 4 years of experience with SAP S/4 HANA; and 2 years of experience with SAP Cloud Applications (CPI, SAC & Datasphere).
