POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Notary Public & Titling Agent to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for clients processing vehicle title transactions and requiring notarial services. You will be responsible for accurately completing PennDOT documentation, verifying client identification, executing notarial acts, and ensuring every transaction is compliant and complete.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Process vehicle title transfers, registrations, duplicate titles, and tag renewals in accordance with PennDOT requirements
• Perform notarial acts including acknowledgments, jurats, oaths, and affirmations in compliance with Pennsylvania Notary Public Law
• Verify client identity and eligibility for requested services, including review of supporting documentation
• Accurately complete and submit PennDOT MV-1, MV-4ST, and other required forms
• Collect applicable fees, issue receipts, and maintain accurate transaction records
• Communicate clearly with clients on required documentation, fees, and processing timelines
• Maintain organized filing systems and transaction logs for audit and compliance purposes
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in title documentation or client information
• Support front desk operations including answering phones, scheduling, and greeting clients
• Stay current on PennDOT policy changes, fee schedules, and notary law requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Active Pennsylvania Notary Public commission (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
• Must pass a background check
• Strong attention to detail with a low tolerance for errors in documentation
• Proficiency with basic office software (Microsoft Office, email, document management)
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience as a PennDOT agent or authorized tag and title service provider
• Experience handling lien holder documentation, salvage titles, or out-of-state titles
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
