Job DescriptionJob DescriptionManufacturing Associate (Mixing Operator) - 12Hour Rotating (223) Schedule Location: Durham, NC Pay: $21.00/hour Shifts: Days - 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM Nights - 7:00 PM to 7:30 AMAre you ready to move beyond basic production work and into a highly technical, handson manufacturing role where your judgment, precision, and attention to detail make a real impact?We're seeking detaildriven, selfmotivated Mixing Manufacturing Associates who enjoy working independently, making realtime process adjustments, and collaborating with engineers and technicians to produce highquality products. This is not a buttonpushing role - it's a position for someone who takes ownership of their process and takes pride in doing things right.This role is an advanced position requiring independent process adjustments, technical decisionmaking, and accountability for product quality.Responsibilities for the Mixing Manufacturing Associate:
Assemble materials and operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently
Measure, weigh, assemble, apply chemicals, and transport raw materials
Work with both solid and liquid raw materials in batch mixing operations
Adjust batch processing using analytical testing, engineering charts, and historical process data
Operate and interpret results from moisture balance and plasticity testing equipment
Read, follow, and execute Standard Operating Sheets (SOS); troubleshoot and correct process deviations
Verify that solutions, raw materials, and finished products meet specifications prior to use or release
Handle raw materials and finished products with care to prevent damage
Load raw materials into mixers and transfer kneaded mixes into preextruders
Operate extruders to form honeycomb catalyst structures
Place formed catalysts on trays, wrap, and load onto carts for oven processing
Load and unload ovens; monitor and adjust temperature and humidity as required
Prepare dried catalysts for chemical activation
Prepare chemical mixes for activation processes
Cut catalysts to exact specifications
Build catalyst arrays by cementing components to specification and installing into modules
Work independently while collaborating closely with engineers and technicians
Communicate issues with product quality, processes, or data to supervisors and managers in a timely manner
Open to being trained to operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely and in accordance with training and site procedures
Maintain a strong safetyfirst mindset in a technical manufacturing environment
Be able to stand for a full 12hour shift
Requirements for the Mixing Manufacturing Associate
Reliable transportation and strong attendance habits
Clean drug screen and background check (unfortunately no felony convictions)
Previous experience operating mixing machinery in a manufacturing environment
Strong attention to detail with a safetyconscious mindset
Selfmotivated, accountable, and comfortable working independently
Basic math and written communication skills
Ability to read instructions and accurately record data
Proven knowledge of general plant safety practices
Teamoriented with the ability to work independently when required
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
