Job Summary
We are seeking entry level to journeyman level Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) technicians. Entry level positions involve on the job training to properly maintain residential and light commercial HVAC systems. Then progress into advanced technical training increasing your knowledge to troubleshoot and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems. Journeyman candidates must be proficient in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing residential and ight commercial HVAC systems along the Kona Kohala Coast. Your mechanical expertise and field service experience will drive success as you deliver top-tier service to clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills while working in a fast-paced environment that values proactive problem-solving and excellent customer service.

Duties:

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and ventilation equipment.
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
  • Perform routine inspections of HVAC equipment to identify potential problems before they escalate.
  • Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems and ensure proper operation of associated appliances.
  • Use specialized tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to repair or replace faulty components.
  • Maintain detailed service records, reports, and logs for all maintenance activities performed.
  • Assist with HVAC design modifications or upgrades based on client needs or system requirements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems.
  • Construction knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately.
  • Field service experience working on diverse HVAC equipment in commercial or residential settings.
  • Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and perform equipment repair with precision.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers preferred.
  • Able to pass a drug test.
  • Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to interact effectively with clients and team members.
