Our rapidly growing shop is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in vehicle maintenance and repair, with a focus on diesel engines. We specialize in repair work for other small business fleets and work on everything from pick up trucks to semi trucks, trailers, equipment and everything in between. We are looking for a "lead" mechanic that has the ability to see a job through from start to finish- including diagnosis and parts ordering if needed. Welding/Fab experience would also be a huge plus. We are looking for a team player that does not mind doing what it takes to get the job done, and someone that is willing to work closely with the owner to oversee shop operations and help out less experienced techs as needed. Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair diesel engines in various vehicles and heavy equipment
- Perform diagnostics using schematics and technical manuals
- Conduct regular inspections to identify faulty components
- Weld and fabricate parts as needed for repairs
- Service air brakes and hydraulic systems
- Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment when necessary


Skills
- Experience working in a dealership or similar setting preferred
- Proficiency in heavy equipment operation and maintenance
- Ability to weld and fabricate parts
- Knowledge of air brake systems
- Previous experience as a service technician is mandatory!
