Esl Teacher School Setting

Job Summary

Reclaim Private Schools is seeking a caring and flexible Bilingual/ESL Teacher to teach multilingual students ages 5 17 in a shelter-based school setting. Students may have different academic levels, English-language abilities, and lengths of enrollment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide instruction in English and Spanish as needed.
Follow the RPS curriculum, lesson plans, and daily schedule.
Adjust instruction to meet students academic and language needs.
Use visuals, modeling, small groups, and hands-on activities.
Maintain a safe, welcoming, and organized classroom.
Monitor student progress and maintain attendance, grades, and required records.
Collaborate with teachers, teacher assistants, site leadership, and shelter staff.
Follow all school, facility, safety, confidentiality, and student-supervision requirements.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and classroom observations.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Teaching certification with bilingual or ESL credentials preferred.
Experience working with English learners or students from diverse backgrounds preferred.
Strong communication, organization, teamwork, and classroom-management skills.
Patient, dependable, flexible, and willing to adjust to changing student needs.
