CNC Machine Operator

Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing, is seeking a CNC Mills and Lathe Setup/ Operator to join their team. As a CNC Mills and Lathe Setup/ Operator, you will be part of the manufacturing department supporting production teams. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: CNC Mills and Lathe Setup/ Operator

Location: Santa Ana, CA

Pay Range: $28

Shift: 7:30AM - 4:00PM, Monday through Friday

What's the Job?

• Responsible for setting up a variety of CNC Mill & Lathe machine tools including Fadal, Kitamura, and Bridgeport to produce acceptable products to preset standards.
• Works from drawings, blueprints, job layouts, and other specifications, adjusting feeds, speeds, tooling, and operational sequences as required with programmers' assistance.
• Set up and inspect first article parts on proven programs and turn them in for Quality Assurance verification.
• Change cutting tools and adjust tool and work offsets as required to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, and unusual conditions to maintain safety and productivity.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a CNC manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years of CNC Mills and Lathe experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
• Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and dial indicators to tolerances of .001".
• Knowledge of "G" and "M" codes, machine and tool offsets, and setup procedures.
• Wears required personal protective equipment and follows all safety policies and procedures.
