Role Overview:

We are seeking aWarehouse Management System (WMS) Consultantwith a solid foundation insupply chain operationsandWMS implementations. Candidates with experience across WMS platforms (e.g.,Manhattan,Blue Yonder,HighJump,SAP EWM, etc.) and strong knowledge of warehouse processes are encouraged to apply. Suitable candidates will receiveclient-specific trainingduring onboarding.

This role blendstechnical aptitudeandfunctional expertiseto implement, configure, and support WMS solutions tailored to our clients business needs, with a strong emphasis onadvanced SQL (including stored procedures)andhands-on troubleshootingacross application, integration, and database layers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supportWMS implementationandconfigurationprojects end-to-end.
  • Analyzebusiness,functional, andintegrationrequirements to design effective WMS solutions.
  • Configure core WMS modules:Inbound,Outbound,Inventory,Returns,Picking,Shipping, etc.
  • Collaborate with internal and client teams to developcustom logicusing client configuration and extensibility tools.
  • SupportAPI testing(e.g.,Postman) and manage system integrations withERP,OMS,TMS, andMHE/automationsystems.
  • Write, review, optimize, and maintain SQL queries and stored procedureswithin relational databases (e.g.,Oracle,MySQL).
  • Performroot-cause analysis,debugging, andperformance tuning(queries, stored procedures, indexing, execution plans).
  • Partner with clients and stakeholders duringSIT,UAT,go-live, andpost-go-livephases.
  • Troubleshootproduction issuesand resolve bothfunctionalandtechnicalproblems within defined SLAs.
  • Participate inAgile ceremoniesand contribute tocontinuous improvementinitiatives.
  • Maintain high-quality documentation:technical designs,test plans,runbooks, andconfiguration records.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree inComputer Science,Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-3 yearsof experience inWMS implementationsorsupply chain executionsystems.
  • Strongtechno-functional backgroundin any WMS platform.
  • Deep understanding of warehouse workflows:receiving, picking, packing, shipping, returns, etc.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, includingdesigning and optimizing stored procedures, complex queries, indexing, and performance tuning onrelational databases(e.g., Oracle, MySQL).
  • Experience withAPI testing toolsandsystem integrations(ERP/OMS/TMS/MHE).
  • Demonstrabletroubleshooting and debuggingskills across application, integration, and data layers.
  • Excellentinterpersonal,documentation, andcommunicationskills.
  • Ability to work effectively withcross-functionalandgeographically distributedteams.

Preferred / Nice to Have:

  • Experience integrating WMS withGoods-to-Person,AS/RS, or otherautomationtechnologies.
  • Exposure toOMS,TMS, orEDImessaging standards.
  • Experience inAgile/DevOpsenvironments.

Travel Requirements:

  • Approximately 50% travel, based on customer needs.

Month-to-Month Activities (Summary):

Months 12:

  • Onboarding, deep dive into WMS platforms, familiarize with supply chain workflows, shadow implementation teams, review documentation and tools (SQL, API testing).

Months 34:

  • Engage with clients for requirement gathering, analyze business processes, draft functional specifications, participate in Agile ceremonies, start basic configuration tasks.

Months 56:

  • Lead configuration of core WMS modules (Inbound, Outbound, Inventory), collaborate on integrations (ERP, OMS, TMS), support SIT/UAT phases, begin troubleshooting and optimization.

Months 79:

  • Drive end-to-end implementation for mid-sized projects, manage custom logic development, oversee API testing and database queries, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Months 1012:

  • Lead strategic WMS deployments, mentor junior team members, refine integration strategies, provide roadmap inputs, deliver measurable outcomes (uptime, cost optimization), and support post-go-live enhancements.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Customer Success: Requirements captured accurately, high customer satisfaction scores, successful implementation, and go-live support.
  • Product Delivery: Sprint velocity maintained, timely delivery of WMS configurations and integrations, minimal requirement-related defects during SIT/UAT.
  • Market Insights: Quality of competitive research on WMS trends, actionable recommendations for process improvements adopted by stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Positive feedback from internal teams and clients, effective cross-functional alignment during Agile ceremonies and project phases.
  • Business Impact: Improved WMS adoption rates, measurable cost optimization for clients, influence on revenue through successful implementations and potential upsell opportunities.
