Welder (MIG ) - Technician / Apprentice
SPECIFIC DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Fabricate components and parts using welding equipment to clean, prepare, cut, burn, and weld pieces. Maintain a safe work environment and equipment. Adhere to OSHA safety standards, and operating procedures.
Hours:
Most work is in Arizona but we do work in other states in short trips.
Day time shift, some Saturdays.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Seeing, hearing, speaking, stooping, bending, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting (up to 50 pounds), fingering, grasping, feeling.
SPECIFIC SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Experienced welders are able to set up and operate MIG welding machines. Must be capable of welding a variety of materials including mild steel, galvanized steel. Knowledge of welding symbols and arc, plasma. Hand tools and transportation in town are a must.
Clean driving record and criminal background is needed. This position requires the ability to read and interpret documents and perform basic math calculations.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE RECOMMENDED:
Minimum of three years experience in MIG welding processes.
