Position Summary The Wash Bay Specialist ensures fleet safety and readiness by inspecting equipment, checking and refilling fluids, fueling tractors, and keeping the safety lane and fuel island clean and hazard'free. The role documents defects, completes required forms, and follows all safety and environmental procedures while working around heavy equipment outdoors.
Safety Lane Responsibilities
Perform visual inspections of tractors and trailers for loose, worn, leaking, or damaged components
Inspect tires for proper inflation and wear
Check all fluid levels and add fluids as needed
Fuel tractors and fill DEF tanks
Complete Safety Lane inspection forms and daily summaries
Document all defects by completing Driver Repair Request forms and submit to the Shop Manager or Shop Foreman
Maintain a clean and organized work area, free of debris
Comply with all company safety, environmental, and operational procedures
Use all required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Fuel Island Attendant Responsibilities
Fuel tractors safely and efficiently
Fill DEF tanks and check basic fluid levels
Monitor fuel island for leaks, spills, or safety hazards
Maintain cleanliness of fuel island area, including spill containment
Report equipment issues or fuel system problems to maintenance
Follow all fuel-handling, environmental, and fire safety procedures
Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
Pay Range: 17.45-24.18 per_hour, General Benefits:

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license (CDL not required)
Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift more than 50 lbs
Ability to work outdoors and around heavy equipment
