Virtual Speech Language Pathologist in LA

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in telespeech and teletherapy services within a school setting located in Harvey, Louisiana. This contract position runs from August 3, 2026, through May 27, 2027, focusing on supporting students in a dynamic educational environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing teletherapy to school-aged children, addressing speech and language needs.
• Caseload details and assigned schools will be determined closer to the start date.
• Collaborating with the educational team to create and implement individualized therapy plans.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school district policies.
• Completing required district credentialing forms for Human Resources compliance.

Qualifications sought:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
• Active state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
• ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) is mandatory.
• Experience or interest in teletherapy service delivery is preferred.

Work schedule consists of 35 hours per week, typically 7 hours daily with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. The position will serve students within the Jefferson Parish school district in the New Orleans area.

Please note that any offer extended and accepted will be contingent upon the renewal of the school board contract at the June 3, 2026 meeting. This condition will be included in the contract documentation.
