Job summary

Alabama Getaway is hiring a detail-focused Property Inspector to check vacation rentals after cleaning and before guest or owner arrival. The inspector is the final set of eyes for cleanliness, presentation, supplies, damage, and obvious maintenance concerns. This role requires urgency without rushing, strong photo documentation, and the confidence to request corrections when a property does not meet standards.

What you will do

• Inspect assigned properties using Alabama Getaway checklists and property-specific standards.
• Verify cleanliness, bed presentation, towels, starter supplies, kitchen setup, lighting, thermostats, remotes, locks, and overall arrival readiness.
• Identify missed cleaning items, damage, missing inventory, safety concerns, and maintenance needs.
• Take clear photos and document findings accurately in the task system.
• Communicate corrections promptly and recheck work when needed.
• Complete light touch-ups or simple resets when appropriate to keep an arrival on time.
• Prioritize same-day arrivals and alert leadership early if a property may not be ready.
• Assist with owner arrivals, quality audits, and off-season inspection projects.

• A fair but firm communicator who can address corrections professionally.
• A reliable person who can work independently and manage a changing daily schedule.

Schedule and compensation

Schedule: Year-round. Full-time. Daytime work centered around turnover and arrival windows; weekends and holidays are required as scheduled.
Compensation: Pay per task; average pay $750 - $1250 a week (depending on experience and quality of work)

Requirements

• Housekeeping, inspection, hospitality, or vacation-rental experience preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and time management.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel between properties.
• Smartphone proficiency and ability to complete checklists, notes, and photo documentation.
• Ability to climb stairs, bend, lift supplies, and perform light cleaning touch-ups.
