Job Description

RN Outpatient Wound Clinic position responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating wound care for outpatients.
Involved in chronic and rehabilitative care of persons with wounds.
Reports to Program Manager and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
Patient population includes chronic patients with wounds that are difficult to heal.
Clinic volume of 20-35 patients per day with 3-4 nurses and 1-2 providers.
Uses Epic EMR system.

Minimum 1 year of experience in wound care specialty.
Active Massachusetts RN License required.
Certification in Wound Care Nursing strongly preferred.
AHA BLS Certification required.
Must be skilled in assessing, monitoring, measuring, cleaning, and bandaging wounds.
Ability to educate patients and caretakers on wound care, infection and injury prevention, and pressure ulcer care.
Coordinate Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) services.

Clinician to patient ratio approximately 3-4 nurses and 1-2 providers per clinic day.
Outpatient wound clinic setting.
