- Certification Details
- BLS (Must be AHA).
- Current nursing license verified via Nursys within 30 days prior to start.
- Job Details
- This is a 21 bed Ortho/Med surg unit with a 3:1 patient to nurse ratio.
- Float to 5S unit which includes med/telemetry/PCU.
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation required.
- Consideration for candidates interested in weekends only.
- Job Requirements
- Must have current nursing license with Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start.
- Completion of Ascension Pharmacology Exam prior to start, updated every 3 years.
- Completion of Ascension Medical Surgical Exam prior to start, updated every 3 years.
- Completion of Ascension Core Competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics within a year of start, updated every 3 years.
- Completion of Ascension EKG Exam with minimum 80% score, updated every 3 years.
- Completion of Ascension Skills Checklist within one year of start, updated annually for specialty.
- Documentation of required immunizations and health screenings including MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine (optional), Fit Test, Positive PPD or IGRA with chest X-ray if applicable, and Health Statement updated annually.
- Background checks including criminal background, EPLS, and employment verification as per Ascension requirements.
- Schedule Information
- Day shift from 06:45 to 19:15.
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation.
- Option for weekend-only availability considered.
- Unit Specific Information
- Float to 5S unit which includes medical, telemetry, and progressive care unit (PCU).
- Additional Details
- Ascension Resume required for submission.
- Signed Assignment Agreement required for onboarding.
- Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation required.
- Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding done onsite.
- Ascension Badge Photo required for onboarding.
- Driver's License/State ID must be current and match address requirements.
- Ascension Profile and two professional references required for submission.
- Hiring Manager Evaluation and Name Change Document optional.
