Job Description

Assess patient needs based on history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data analysis.
Provide age-specific nursing interventions consistent with plan of care and standards of practice.
Foster caring, compassion, and respect for patients, families, and visitors.
Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff.
Utilize standard work related to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators.
Precept and mentor novice employees.
Contribute to department growth and performance through hospital-system initiatives and Evidence Based Practices.
Demonstrate continued professional growth through goal setting and educational participation.
Float to assist in other like units as needed.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

BLS certification (AHA only).
Nursys nursing license within 30 days of start.
NRP certification (AHA only).
Proof of immunizations: MMR (2 immunizations or titer with lab printout, no declinations accepted).
Hepatitis B vaccination proof (3 vaccinations or titer with lab printout, no declinations accepted).
Varicella proof (2 immunizations or titer with lab printout, no declinations accepted).
2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) testing with specified timing and negative results.
Driver's License or State ID copy.
Social Security Card copy.
McLeod Profile (resume or profile).
McLeod Criminal Background Check within 60 days covering last 7 years, updated annually.
Employment verification for 5 years.
McLeod Drug Screen (10 panel) within 30 days of start, rapid screen not accepted.
McLeod Skills Checklist completed prior to start and updated annually.
McLeod Confirmation of Assignment form.
