Facility: Bassett Medical CenterUnit: OR - CVOR TechUnit Overview Facility: Bassett Medical Center OR Rooms (CVOR): 1 dedicated CVOR room Case Volume: 2-3 cardiac cases per week Team Structure:o 1 Cardiac Surgeono 2 Perfusionistso 4 Surgical Techs (team varies by shift)Case Mix & Expectations Primary Cardiac Cases:o CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting)o Valve replacements/repairs Tech Expectations:o Must be able to scrub independently for open heart caseso Expected to assist with vein harvesting Experience with endoscopic (preferred) and open techniquesRequired Additional Experience (Critical for Submission)Due to lower cardiac volume, candidates must be well-rounded and able to support otherservice lines.Minimum expectation: experience in these service lines in addition to CV: Vascular (VASC) General Surgery PlasticsCandidates who only have CVOR experience without additional service line exposure willnot be considered.Floating Expectations Floating Required: Yes Frequency: Daily, based on case volume Areas:o General ORo Vascularo Other surgical specialties as neededEquipment & Systems Experience with standard CVOR equipment expected, including:o Heart-lung (bypass) machine support environmento Cell saver Familiarity with common cardiac instrumentation and sterile setup required No specific vendor system required, but strong adaptability is expected
