his Physical Therapist Assistant position is based in North Trussville, Alabama, a thriving suburban community just outside Birmingham. Trussville combines the comfort of small-town living with easy access to big-city amenities. The areas strong school systems and family-friendly environment make it an appealing place to put down roots, while still offering plenty of options for nightlife, arts, and outdoor activities in the Greater Birmingham area.The clinic is a modern outpatient rehabilitation center focused on orthopedic and musculoskeletal care. As a PTA in this setting, you will work under the direction and supervision of licensed Physical Therapists to deliver evidence-based care to a diverse caseload that commonly includes post-surgical orthopedic patients, individuals with sports injuries, spine conditions, and general musculoskeletal complaints. The workspace is designed to support active, functional rehabilitation, with treatment tables, therapeutic exercise equipment, and designated areas for balance and gait training.A typical day in this role includes assisting with initial and ongoing patient assessments, progressing individualized treatment plans, providing therapeutic exercises and modalities, performing manual therapy as directed, and delivering clear patient education on home exercise programs and injury prevention. You will collaborate closely with physical therapists and other team members to ensure continuity of care, track patient progress, and adjust interventions to promote optimal outcomes. Documentation in the clinics EMR is completed throughout the day to maintain accurate, timely records and support quality standards.Patient volume is consistent with a busy outpatient orthopedic practice, with scheduled visits across the day and an emphasis on efficient workflow and strong interpersonal communication. The environment supports teamwork, ongoing mentorship, and clinical development, encouraging PTAs to refine skills in areas such as post-operative rehab, sports-related injuries, and return-to-function programs. Required Qualifications
