What You ll Do

• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders
• Support patients through ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and assistive devices
• Assess patient progress; communicate with supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Document all clinical and regulatory information accurately in electronic health records
• Collaborate with healthcare team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and discharge planning
• Support patient and caregiver education on therapy processes and progress
• Support and supervise students, if applicable, under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist

What You Need

• Valid State Licensure or Registration as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
• Prior experience in long-term care or similar clinical settings preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adhere to NBCOT / AOTA practice acts and ethical standards
