Terminal Manager - Heavy Duty Towing & Recovery

Bear's is a growing towing and recovery company in Burbank, Ohio, specializing in heavy duty, medium duty, and light duty towing, tractor trailer and accident recovery, and off road recovery.

We have made significant investments in trucks, equipment, and infrastructure over the past two years and are continuing to grow. We are now looking for the right Terminal Manager - a seasoned professional who wants a long-term leadership role, not a steppingstone.

If you are a rookie, a career job hopper, or looking for a short-term paycheck, this is not the position for you.

Who This Role Is For

This position is for an experienced towing or recovery professional who:

• Has real-world heavy duty and recovery experience
• Is comfortable being hands-on and leading from the front
• Wants to help build and grow a strong terminal, not just "manage a desk"

Role Overview

The Terminal Manager is responsible for the complete day-to-day operation of the Bear's Towing Burbank terminal. This is a working leadership position - you will manage, train, and support operators, and may run calls or respond to major recoveries when needed.

Core Responsibilities

• Oversee daily heavy, medium, and light duty towing and recovery operations
• Lead and manage drivers/operators and yard personnel
• Dispatch coordination and call prioritization
• Ensure all trucks, equipment, and recovery gear are maintained and ready
• Enforce safety standards, DOT compliance, and proper recovery procedures
• Respond to and assist with major accidents or complex recovery scenes
• Interface professionally with law enforcement, insurance companies, and customers
• Train operators and enforce company standards
• Maintain terminal organization, yard control, and inventory
• Communicate regularly with ownership regarding operations and growth needs

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Previous towing and recovery industry experience REQUIRED
• Strong knowledge of heavy duty towing and accident recovery
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience
• Solid understanding of DOT, OSHA, and safety requirements
• Able to work under pressure and make sound decisions on scene
• Willing to work flexible hours and be on call when needed
• Valid driver's license (CDL strongly preferred)
• Mechanical aptitude is a plus
