Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)

Assignment: Full-Time Onsite School Year

Assignment Dates:

August 5, 2026 - May 27, 2027

Schedule:

Monday-Friday
Full-Time Hours
Onsite
Travel between multiple school locations required

Caseload:

8-10 Students
Primarily Elementary Students
Possible Middle and High School Students
Caseload may fluctuate throughout the school year based on student eligibility

Responsibilities:

Provide direct and consultative vision services in accordance with student IEPs
Support students with visual impairments across multiple school sites
Attend IEP meetings and collaborate with educational teams
Maintain service logs and required documentation
Communicate with staff and families regarding student progress and services
Complete indirect service responsibilities related to IEP compliance and implementation

Requirements:

Active Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) Certification Required
Ohio licensure/certification required
Experience supporting students with visual impairments preferred
Ability to travel between assigned school locations
