We are seeking a Tax Accountant to join a collaborative corporate tax team. Reporting to the Income Tax Manager, this individual will support the preparation and filing of income, franchise, and other miscellaneous tax workpapers and returns across jurisdictions in the United States and Canada. This person may also work with outside tax consultants on filings and assist with selected monthly account reconciliations.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the preparation and filing of federal, state, local, and international tax compliance workpapers and returns
  • Assist with income tax, franchise tax, property tax, and abandoned/unclaimed property compliance and reporting
  • Partner with the Income Tax Manager to research tax questions and help resolve issues as they arise
  • Work cross-functionally with internal departments to gather documentation needed for tax filings and reporting
  • Analyze and reconcile tax accruals
  • Respond to communications from tax and regulatory agencies
  • Assist with miscellaneous tax returns and special tax-related projects
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to continue building tax and business knowledge


Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field required
  • 0-2 years of experience in an accounting or tax-related role
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
  • Solid understanding of general accounting principles and tax fundamentals
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to adapt, identify issues, and help develop practical solutions
