Surgery - Cardiovascular Physician Assistant

-3x13-hour shifts (rotating days/nights & every 3rd weekend)
-Will consider nights-only and part-time (minimum 2 shifts/week)
-Duration: 4 6 months (night shift priority)

Setting:

-20-bed HVICU managing the sickest cardiac surgery patients in the hospital
-Case mix includes CABG, valve replacements, complex aortic procedures
-High-acuity environment with a 1:5 7 APP ratio
-Supportive team of intensivists, surgical attendings, and experienced APPs
-Onboarding includes orientation shift; ideal candidates are plug-and-play

Required Skills & Experience:

-Must be experienced in cardiac surgery ICU
-Proficient in managing patients on ECMO, Impella, and VADs
-Skilled in procedures: central line, arterial line, bronchoscopy
-Comfortable managing complex ventilator settings
-Must be able to work autonomously and collaborate with a high-functioning team
-ACLS, BLS (AHA)
