Responsibilities: As a Substation Trainer, you will be responsible for: 1. Deliver technical training programs to clients using a blended learning approach, incorporating hands-on activities that mimic real-world tasks. This ensures RIE provides training aligned with external requirements, operational priorities, and industry best practices. 2. Design, develop, and update procedures-such as checklists, job aids, and work methods-to effectively support work on RIE equipment and processes. 3. Coordinate the review of new or revised documents, work procedures, and training with Safety, Engineering Standards, Training, and other groups so that all new equipment coming onto system can be safely maintained and operated as per design. 4. Keep up to date on training developments to ensure innovation and latest learning requirements and ideas are incorporated into RIE technical training programs. 5. Support field operations to construct equipment mock-ups and simulations for development of procedures and associated training content. 6. Facilitate communication and adoption of work procedures through committee participation, presentations, process improvement meetings, and roadshows. 7. Support new RIE technology initiatives. Qualifications: To be consider for this exciting role, you will need: 1. Associate level: Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience on a year for year basis. 2. Specialist level: Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline plus 2 years of experience in Electric Utility (Journeyman equivalent) or equivalent combination of education and experience on a year for year basis. 3. Senior Level: Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline plus 5 years of experience in Electric Utility (Journeyman equivalent) or equivalent combination of education and experience on a year for year basis. 4. Lead level: Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline plus 5-7 years of experience in Electric Utility (Journeyman equivalent) or equivalent combination of education and experience on a year for year basis. 5. Proficient user of Microsoft Word, Power Point, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
