Design and implement enterprise storage solutions (SAN, NAS, object, and hybrid cloud) in alignment with organizational standards, capacity forecasts, and performance objectives. Administer data protection platforms (e.g., Commvault, Rubrik, Veeam, Veritas NetBackup) ensuring adherence to business continuity and disaster recovery requirements. Develop and execute backup strategies, replication workflows, and automated retention policies supporting compliance with data governance standards. Optimize storage performance and capacity through continuous monitoring, patching, and tuning. Collaborate with system, network, and application engineers to ensure integrated design and operation of storage and data protection systems. Create detailed technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and change control records for regulatory compliance. Evaluate and implement new storage, archiving, and cloud data protection technologies to improve operational efficiency. Conduct root cause analysis for complex data availability or recovery incidents, recommending preventive measures. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to IT operations teams on storage, backup, and recovery best practices. Participate in disaster recovery testing and support business continuity planning across multiple data center locations. This position has no direct reports and does not supervise the work of any other employees. Minimum requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in any related positions in which the required work experience was gained. Qualified applicants must also have demonstrated proficiency, skill, experience, or knowledge with the following: 1. Manage enterprise storage technologies using two or more of the following: NetApp, Dell EMC, Pure Storage, or Hitachi. 2. Backup and recovery tools including three or more of the following: Commvault, Rubrik, Veeam, or Veritas NetBackup. 3. Storage protocols: Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS, and SMB. 4. Virtualization technologies VMware and Hyper-V. 5. Cloud storage environments AWS S3, Azure Blob, and Google Cloud Storage. 6. Scripting using PowerShell and Python for automation of infrastructure tasks. 7. Data protection architecture, storage performance optimization, and disaster recovery design. 8. Regulatory compliance frameworks governing data protection using SOX, HIPAA, and GDPR. No travel required.
