Stepdown Registered Nurse Pelham, Alabama

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Deliver vital care in a specialized setting, providing compassionate and skilled support to patients in a Cardiovascular Stepdown unit. This role offers the opportunity to utilize your cardiac nursing expertise while working alongside dedicated healthcare professionals.

Schedule:

• 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM shifts

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Previous experience in stepdown or cardiac stepdown nursing strongly preferred
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Adaptability, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct, high-quality care to patients recovering from cardiovascular events or surgeries
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, identify changes in patient status, and intervene as needed
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families about cardiac health, procedures, medications, and recovery
• Document all nursing interventions, assessments, and patient responses accurately and efficiently
• Participate in continuous process improvements and contribute to a supportive, patient-focused environment
