Splash Cove Manager / Shift Lead

Splash Cove is a new inflatable water adventure park located at Stillhouse Marina & Resort on Stillhouse Hollow Lake in Belton, Texas. We are looking for a dependable, energetic, safety-focused Operations Manager / Shift Lead to oversee daily Splash Cove operations and help create an exceptional guest experience.

This is a hands-on leadership position. The Operations Manager / Shift Lead will supervise lifeguards and attraction attendants, coordinate daily opening and closing procedures, manage guest flow and capacity, enforce safety rules, respond to incidents, and ensure the attraction is operated professionally at all times.

The right candidate will be comfortable leading a young seasonal team, communicating with guests and parents, making quick decisions, and taking immediate action when a safety or weather concern arises.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily Splash Cove operations during assigned shifts
• Supervise lifeguards, check-in attendants, PFD attendants, and other attraction staff
• Conduct pre-opening inspections of the attraction, shoreline, entry area, fencing, signage, safety equipment, and guest areas
• Lead the daily employee safety briefing and assign staff positions
• Confirm that all required operating positions are staffed before opening
• Monitor guest capacity, session timing, entrance and exit flow, and attraction conditions
• Ensure waivers, wristbands, life jackets, and admission procedures are properly handled
• Enforce attraction rules consistently and professionally
• Monitor weather, lightning, wind, water conditions, and other operational hazards
• Pause or close the attraction when conditions are unsafe
• Respond to injuries, guest complaints, behavioral issues, and emergency situations
• Coordinate emergency response with lifeguards, marina management, and local emergency services when necessary
• Complete inspection logs, incident reports, employee documentation, and closing reports
• Ensure life jackets and safety equipment are properly inspected, cleaned, stored, and maintained
• Keep the attraction entrance, shoreline, equipment area, and guest areas clean and organized
• Assist with employee training, coaching, scheduling, and performance management
• Communicate maintenance or equipment concerns immediately
• Provide friendly, professional customer service to guests and families
• Support other marina and resort operations when needed

Qualifications

• Previous leadership, supervisory, recreation, hospitality, aquatics, amusement, camp, marina, or customer-service experience preferred
• Strong judgment and the ability to remain calm during emergencies or difficult guest interactions
• Dependable, punctual, organized, and comfortable holding employees accountable
• Able to communicate clearly with employees, guests, parents, and management
• Comfortable working outdoors in heat, sun, wind, and changing weather conditions
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods
• Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and peak summer periods
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be at least 18 years old
• CPR, First Aid, AED, lifeguard, aquatics, or emergency-response certification is strongly preferred
• Must be willing to complete required safety and operating training

We are looking for someone who takes ownership. This position is not simply a cashier or customer-service role. The Operations Manager / Shift Lead is responsible for ensuring that Splash Cove is properly staffed, safely operated, clean, organized, and ready for guests.

A strong candidate will be visible, engaged, decisive, and willing to step into any position when necessary while still maintaining oversight of the entire operation.

Schedule

This is a seasonal position with hours concentrated during the summer operating season. Weekend and holiday availability is required. Hours may vary based on attendance, weather, and operating needs.
