Position Overview

R.L. Klein & Associates is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to provide school-based speech and language support to students in collaboration with and under the supervision of a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist.

The SLPA will assist with implementing speech-language services, supporting student communication goals, documenting progress, and collaborating with teachers, school staff, families, and the supervising SLP.

Key Responsibilities
Provide speech and language therapy services to students under the direction and supervision of the supervising SLP.
Implement documented treatment plans and IEP-related speech-language goals developed by the supervising SLP.
Provide individual and small-group therapy sessions as assigned.
Support students with articulation, language, communication, fluency, and related communication needs within the SLPA's scope of practice.
Prepare therapy materials, activities, and learning resources.
Collect and document student performance and progress data.
Assist the SLP with screenings and assessments as permitted by applicable regulations.
Monitor student responses and communicate progress or concerns to the supervising SLP.
Participate in appropriate IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings as directed by the supervising SLP.
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, school personnel, and families.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical and educational documentation.
Follow school policies, confidentiality requirements, FERPA, and applicable state regulations.
Maintain a professional, supportive, and student-centered environment.
Participate in training, supervision, and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

Current SLPA license required.

Florida SLPA licensure required for placement.

School-based experience preferred.

Pediatric and/or Pre-K experience preferred.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively with educators and related-service providers.
