Responsibilities Evaluate current ways of working to identify opportunities for improvement both in labor efficiency and technology (tools) Perform Service Advisor duties as needed-write ups, assessment, evaluation of specific issues with truck Coaching on advanced diagnostics bays to streamline the process and keep repair moving according to current estimate Train on Volvo/Isuzu processes and procedures and attain any required certifications Facilitate communication and action between foremen and Service Manager Bring forth ideas on what were missing; how can we perform a certain job differently or are we missing out on potential low hanging fruit in terms of revenue Help create a logical path forward with the foremen on how we organize work within the shopideas on scheduling tools Identify leakage within the department Learn Asist Tool Room Management. DPF cleaning program process and strategy Help develop a customer pay pricing strategy by job Experience Heavy-Duty Experience: Proven experience in a truck dealership, heavy equipment, or similar repair environment with a strong understanding of diesel and vehicle systems. Strong Diagnostic Skills: Solid knowledge of heavy-duty truck repair, including diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension, steering, and electrical systems. OEM & Diagnostic Systems: Experience using ASIST, CDK, and OEM diagnostic/service systems. Familiarity with Isuzu, Volvo, Cummins, Allison, and other major OEM platforms is a plus. Welding & Fabrication: Ability to perform welding and fabrication repairs and read schematics to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment. Hands-On Mechanical Skills: Comfortable working on heavy trucks, equipment, and farm machinery with experience using power tools, shop equipment, and diagnostic tools. Leadership: Ability to lead by example, keep the shop moving, and maintain a safe, organized work environment. Previous Shop Foreman or supervisory experience is preferred. Team & Customer Focused: Strong communication skills with the ability to explain repairs and technical information clearly to technicians, customers, and team members.
