Job Description

Senior Project Manager (Vermeulen's Inc) (Dallas, TX): Lead full cycle cost management for major projects, including conceptual estimating, budgeting, and value engineering strategy (35%); Coordinate directly with owners, architects, and CMs to establish project scope, risk profile, and cost certainty targets (20%); Develop and deliver technology enabled dashboards and forecasting tools for client reporting (20%); Provide senior level guidance to PMs and Estimators; resolve complex cost issues and approve methodology (15%); and Lead business development initiatives, including pursuit strategy, presentations, and client relationship expansion (10%). In order to complete the above-mentioned tasks the following skills and experience are required: Experience managing and cost estimating a high volume of cost estimates for large construction projects; Experience with construction industry processes and factors that affect the construction markets in the US, Texas specifically, such as higher education, culture, science & technology, healthcare, schools, government, and corporations; Experience cost estimating all concept and preliminary design estimates, alternates, and value engineering, including: ratios, bottom line costs and what they represent, procurement, phasing, program, location, and how they affect the cost of line items; Experience with product development; Experience with Agile project methodology; Experience with design thinking; Experience with collaborative product delivery; Experience using Ediphi, Custom Estimating Software, On-Screen Takeoff, AutoCAD, RockTek, SolidWorks, SketchUp, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite products; Experience with advanced Excel modeling; Experience developing cost intelligence tools, dashboards, and predictive modeling; and Experience with leadership in cross-functional collaboration (estimation, design, owners). Requires Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Construction or related field, and at least five years of experience as a Project Manager for Cost Estimating, Estimator, or related occupation.
