Central Texas Recruiting is seeking a Senior Litigation Associate with substantial litigation experience to work directly alongside the firm's two named Partners on complex class and collective actions representing workers nationwide. This role offers significant autonomy and substantive litigation responsibility across depositions, hearings, motion practice, mediations, and trial work.

This position involves managing active FLSA class and collective action matters, taking high-level depositions, arguing dispositive motions, developing disputed records through discovery and investigation, and participating directly in settlement and trial strategy. Plaintiff-side experience is preferred, but strong defense-side wage-and-hour attorneys are also considered.

Key Responsibilities

Handle depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial work alongside firm Partners
Take high-level and difficult depositions, including corporate representative, expert, lawyer, and apex depositions
Draft and manage written discovery, motions, pleadings, and legal correspondence
Argue dispositive motions including summary judgment, class certification, and motions to dismiss
Manage active litigation across a nationwide docket of FLSA class and collective actions
Develop disputed records through discovery motions and case investigations
Compel documents through discovery motions when necessary
Participate in settlement negotiations and mediation
Conduct trial work including direct and cross-examination of witnesses
Mentor junior attorneys
Support the firm's expanding briefing team
Work directly with named Partners on case development and litigation strategy

Qualifications & Requirements:

U.S. Work Eligibility Required
Education & Experience:
JD from an accredited law school
Active bar membership in good standing
7 15 years of litigation experience
Significant deposition and in-court advocacy experience
Multiple high-level, difficult depositions
Class or collective action litigation experience required
Multiple dispositive motions argued
Active experience developing disputed records through discovery motions and investigations
Trial experience including direct and cross-examination of witnesses

Technical Skills & Competencies:

Strong written discovery and motion practice experience
Discovery motions to compel documents
Knowledge of FLSA and state wage-and-hour law preferred
Strong live presentation and communication skills
Ability to manage complex litigation matters independently
Strong case development and litigation strategy skills

Working Conditions:

Full-time on-site position in Houston, TX
Must be based in Houston or committed to relocate
No remote option
Direct collaboration with both named Partners
