United States Bomb Technician Association Senior Electrical Engineer Position Overview The Senior Electrical Engineer will play a critical role in supporting safe and compliant operations by providing expert guidance in electrical engineering, hazard analysis, process safety management, and risk mitigation. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, this position reviews technical documentation, validates operational procedures, evaluates electrical systems, and develops recommendations that enhance safety, reliability, and mission success across complex operational environments. Clearance Requirement: Minimum of Current Interim Secret Security Clearance Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive movements Work Environment The majority of the work will be conducted at Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD) and its detachments, with occasional work required at satellite locations. This position requires work in laboratory, test facility, and field environments involving explosive ordnance and associated safety controls. Occasional travel may be required to support testing, evaluations, and technical meetings. Work may occasionally involve exposure to chemical or hazardous materials in areas under controlled conditions. This position requires adherence to all applicable security, safety, and operational procedures.
