School-Based Physical Therapist - Brookline, Massachusetts

Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity this summer, utilizing your experience as a school-based Physical Therapist (PT or PTA) to support students in an engaging Extended School Year program. This role invites you to make a meaningful impact by working with students ages 3-22, helping them enhance mobility, independence, and overall well-being. The program operates Mondays through Thursdays, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, from July 6th to August 13th. We understand schedules can be tight, so we offer flexibility for your start date and can accommodate approximately 2.5 days of work each week.

You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of educators and specialists to deliver high-quality PT services both onsite and through dedicated, in-home therapy for a medically complex student, totaling 5 hours of home-based support.

What we're looking for:

• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), with school experience strongly preferred
• Experience working with children and adolescents (age 3-22) in educational settings
• Ability to design and implement age-appropriate, individualized PT interventions
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff and families
• Committed, adaptable, and able to manage a flexible summer schedule
• Comfortable providing both onsite and in-home services

Primary responsibilities:

• Assess students and develop tailored physical therapy plans
• Deliver direct PT services aligned with IEP goals and school objectives
• Document progress and engage families in the therapeutic process
• Integrate therapy into a supportive, collaborative educational environment
• Provide five hours of individualized home-based physical therapy for a medically complex student
