School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Billerica, Massachusetts

Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Embark on a meaningful role supporting a male out-of-district student through personalized 1:1 nursing care in a dynamic educational setting. This contract position calls for a dedicated LPN or RN with a passion for making a daily impact, providing consistent support both in the school environment and during transportation. The assignment is anticipated to continue through the remainder of the 2025/2026 school year-including the summer session-and may extend into the 2026/2027 academic year, offering stability and the opportunity to foster ongoing student growth.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Massachusetts nursing certification (LPN or RN)
• Experience working with pediatric or adolescent populations, especially in school or community settings
• Strong clinical skills, including medication administration and monitoring of chronic or complex conditions
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care with keen communication abilities
• Ability to collaborate with educators, therapists, and family members
• Reliable transportation for commuting with the student as needed

Role & Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 nursing care for the assigned student during the school day and while traveling to and from campus
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor health status, and respond to emergency medical situations
• Document observations, interventions, and progress in alignment with school protocols
• Serve as a supportive advocate, ensuring student safety, dignity, and well-being at all times
• Be available for a consistent schedule of approximately 40 hours per week, including the fall semester (ending 12/23/26) and summer sessions as required
• Adapt care practices as directed by the nursing team, physicians, or IEP recommendations
