Position Summary and Qualifications
The Full-Time Nights Neuro Medical Surgical/Acute Care Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering and coordinating patient care. This role involves collaborating with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to provide both physical and emotional support to patients and their families. Daily tasks include, but are not limited to, conducting assessments, developing personalized care plans, administering medications, maintaining documentation, educating patients, ensuring proper equipment maintenance, and communicating patient needs effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct patient rounds to enhance satisfaction and uphold quality standards.
Exhibit knowledge of human growth and development, assessment techniques, treatment options, and care tailored to the age groups of patients served.
Encourage customer service initiatives.
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care that meets patient needs.
Demonstrate proficiency in performing technical skills and procedures.
Qualifications Required:
A minimum of 1 year of experience in medical/surgical nursing.
Graduation from an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
Current licensure from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or an equivalent board.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Commitment to pursue and complete Med-Surg certification within one year of hire.
