Restaurant Assistant General Manager

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Assistant General Manager to help lead a high-volume restaurant operation. This role is ideal for a strong restaurant leader who combines operational expertise, financial acumen, and a passion for developing teams and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

The Assistant General Manager will support all aspects of daily restaurant operations, including team leadership, scheduling, service execution, financial performance, product quality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily operations in a high-volume restaurant environment.


• Manage shifts, scheduling, planning, and day-to-day decision-making.


• Monitor financial performance, labor, and operational results.


• Coach, develop, and motivate restaurant teams.


• Deliver exceptional guest experiences while maintaining food quality and cleanliness.


• Remain calm, adaptable, and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment.


• Utilize POS and online reservation systems.


• Identify opportunities to improve service, efficiency, and overall operations.

Skills/Qualifications:

• 3+ years of management experience in a high-volume restaurant environment.


• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.


• Strong understanding of restaurant operations, financials, labor, and cost control.


• Confident, visible leader with strong communication, organization, and decision-making skills.


• Guest-focused, adaptable, and composed under pressure.


• Experience with POS and online reservation systems.


• English/Spanish bilingual skills a plus.

Compensation:

• $75,000 - $95,000 base salary plus up to 15% bonus and full compliment of benefits
