Job Description
We are seeking motivated Field Installation Technicians to support residential telecommunications projects for Xfinity and AT&T.
Technicians travel to customers homes to install, activate, and service residential internet, cable/fiber, television (where applicable), and phone services.
Both experienced technicians and candidates willing to learn may be considered.
Key Responsibilities Install residential cable and telecommunications services Run cable from utility poles or exterior connection points to customers homes Perform ladder work safely when required Route and install cable inside residential properties Connect, activate, test, and configure customer equipment Troubleshoot basic connectivity and service issues Explain equipment and services to customers Complete assigned work orders and required documentation Maintain professional communication with customers, dispatchers, and supervisors Follow company procedures and safety requirements while working in the field Compensation & Earning Potential
This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity with production-based compensation. Technicians are paid according to the type and number of jobs successfully completed rather than an hourly wage.
Individual assignments may typically range from approximately $30 $150 per job, depending on the type and scope of work.
Typical weekly earning potential:
New Technicians: Approximately $1,200 $1,400/week Experienced/Productive Technicians: Approximately $1,400 $1,800+/week
New technicians may initially complete approximately 4 6 jobs per day, while experienced technicians may complete approximately 6 8+ jobs per day.
Actual workload and earnings vary based on experience, productivity, job type, available assignments, and market conditions. Earnings are not guaranteed.
