PRN Days
MedStar Franklin Square is seeking an Experienced Psychiatric Nurse to join the Psychiatric Crisis Unit on day shift.
Psych Crisis Stabilization Unit Highlights
10-bed busy specialized psychiatric emergency unit, located within the main medical ED
Treats pediatric and adult patients
Security has a strong partnership and presence with the unit and Baltimore County officer stationed with the Main ED
Staffed with psychiatric counselors and RNs
Available Roles

Schedule
PRN: four 12-hour shifts in 6 weeks, two weekend shifts, holiday, hard-to-fill shifts
Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs-from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team

Qualifications
- ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
- 1+ years of RN experience required. For PRN roles, at least 2+ years of inpatient psychiatric experience strongly preferred. For the part-time role, at least 1+ years of inpatient psychiatric RN experience highly preferred. Orientation may need to be full-time hours.
- Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross).
