Overview:
Our private duty home care team in Clinton Township is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide one-on-one care for a patient with a spinal cord injury in their home. This part-time role offers predictable weekend hours and the opportunity to build a meaningful, ongoing patient relationship.

Position Offers:

• Schedule: Every weekend or every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
• Competitive pay: $40 45 per hour (DOE)
• Predictable weekend daytime hours
• One-on-one private duty care setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, hands-on nursing care to a private duty patient with a spinal cord injury in their home
• Monitor vital signs, including hourly blood pressure checks, and report changes to the care team
• Administer medications and maintain accurate medication administration records
• Maintain ongoing suprapubic catheter care and other clinical tasks per the plan of care
• Document care, observations, and interventions in the EHR
• Educate the patient and family on care needs and treatment plans
• Assist with activities of daily living, meal preparation, laundry, and light housekeeping
• Provide transportation via the patient's handicap-accessible van to appointments and community activities

Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Michigan
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Home health or private duty experience preferred
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Comfortable working in a home environment with household pets
