Registered Nurse - Correctional Facility

Job Summary:
Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide healthcare services in California State Correctional Facilities. Under the supervision of the facility CEO/CNE or their designee, you will deliver quality patient care within the scope of practice and ensure compliance with state regulations and facility protocols.

Additional Requirements:
Must be proficient in spoken and written English.
Must comply with 8 CCR 5199 requirements:
Current N95/PAPR medical clearance.
Annual respiratory protection training and Appendix G questionnaire completion.
Must be free of any disciplinary action or adverse findings with licensing boards.
All certifications, licenses, and clearances must remain active and up-to-date throughout the term of the contract.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic procedures as ordered by physicians.
Participate in multi-disciplinary teams and assist with minor medical procedures.
Conduct and document nursing assessments and ongoing patient evaluations.
Observe and intervene based on physical and psychological patient status.
Maintain accurate medical records, treatment logs, and progress notes.
Provide health education to patients/youth as needed.
Ensure a safe and secure healthcare environment within the facility.
