Registered Dental Hygienist

We are looking for a Dental Hygienist to help treat patients and promote good oral health practices at our growing general dentistry practice in High Point. We focus on a fun and professional practice culture. You should have knowledge of preventive dentistry, periodontal health and patient education. If you are a team player and have great bedside manner, we'd like to meet you.

About us

• Busy two doctor private practice with three full time hygienists and 1 part time hygienist.
• Fully paperless and digital with Dentrix Ascend software, CEREC in house milling, digital scanning, CBCT
• Will set up the hygiene schedule to help ease a new graduate into private practice. All of our new patient appointments are 80 minutes, SCRP are 80 minutes, recare appointments are 50-60 minutes.
• Have a full time designated hygiene assistant , so you can focus on patient treatment and education

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
• Use intra oral camera to educate patients
• Accurately record probing depths and recognize gingival/periodontal disease
• Perform prophylaxis and scaling/root planning
• Educate patients of all ages on proper oral hygiene, utilize intra oral camera for education
• Take X-rays
• Maintain documentation and charts on each patient

Skills

• Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or similar role
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
• Outstanding communication skills
• A patient and friendly personality
• Attention to detail
• Valid license to practice

Monday/Wednesday 9:00-5:00

Tuesday/Thursday 8:00-4:00

Alternating Fridays 7:00-2:00
