Position Overview
We are seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist (MD/DO) for an ongoing locum opportunity at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, North Dakota. The department requires continuous coverage starting April 6 through the end of the year, with a preference for providers available for at least two weeks per month.
This role involves performing a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic interventional radiology procedures in both inpatient and outpatient hospital settings.
️ Eligible Provider
️ MD / DO Interventional Radiology ️ Board Certified in Interventional Radiology ️ Experience performing a broad range of vascular and non-vascular interventional procedures
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures Conduct CT-guided procedures including biopsies and aspiration drainage Manage vascular and non-vascular interventional treatments Evaluate imaging and guide minimally invasive procedures Collaborate with hospital physicians, nurses, and clinical teams Document procedures and patient care in the facility s EMR system
Practice Environment
Hospital-Based Interventional Radiology Department
Patient Volume: • Approximately 18 patients per day
Schedule & Coverage
Day Shift: 8:00 AM Open Ended On-Call: 5:00 PM 7:00 AM
Coverage Requirement: • Ongoing coverage starting April 6 • Continuous need through the end of the year • Minimum availability preferred: 2 weeks per month

CT-Guided Procedures • Biopsies • Aspiration and drainage procedures
Vascular & Interventional Radiology • Diagnostic angiography (arterial and venous) • Angioplasty (arterial and venous) • Stenting (arterial and venous) • Thrombolytic therapy • Embolization therapy
️ Adult patients requiring diagnostic and therapeutic interventional radiology procedures in both inpatient and outpatient hospital settings.
